Design guide
- for knitters
Kari Hestnes
Design your own garments in one - two - three!
This is the most laborious and ingenious knitting book I have made and best of all is that it is completely timeless. More and more people find it exciting to design their own knitwear, maybe you will find a color you like in the yarn shop, while you will find a pattern you like in a weekly magazine. Maybe the cut does not quite match what you dress and want - now you can become your own knitting designer and I have calculated all the patterns for you!
The book is built up like a puzzle, you put the parts together, piece by piece, and end up with a garment that suits you perfectly. It requires you to know the basics of knitting and an idea of what you want to make. Here you will find all the basic shapes of bodices, sleeve inserts, necklines, sleeves and details. Everything calculated in 5 different knitting barrels and 4 different sizes.
And
To make it easy to follow, everything is marked with color codes that you can easily follow. But before you start, it is important that you take your own goals and take a look at the introductory chapters in the book, here you get tips for choosing the right cuts adapted to your body and face shape. Not only that, you have a pattern you want to knit, but might want to make some changes, such as making a round neck instead of a V-neck, you just look up in the book, find the right knitting strength and follow the instructions .
And
Design guide for knitters is a timeless book, which can be used year after year and which you only become more fond of the more you use it.
Good luck as a knitting designer!
