Norwegian wool at its best

 

In the spring 2017, I was asked to make a series of knitting designs especially for Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk. After working with alpaca yarn for a lifetime, it was a challenge to work with Norwegian wool that behaves in a completely different way than alpaca. Norwegian wool is perfect for stranded knitting, and there is hardly any country that has such a strong pattern tradition as we have here in Norway.
